When I painted the study for this piece I never finished it because I got frustrated with my painting setup blowing over and grit getting stuck in my paint. The scene looked pretty, but it was difficult to capture with the wind. 18x14, Oil on Linen.

Sierra Sunrise
When I haven't been painting in a while, my natural tendencies are to tighten up, paint too much detail and to over-complicate the painting. Still, it is fun to be painting. I will let this one sit for a bit and see if I want to rework it or crop it. 18x14", Oil on Linen.
